the ticket that never stops coming

The “my disk is full” ticket, closed by the user who filed it.

You know the ticket. The disk is full, the user is stuck, and someone senior ends up spelunking ~/Library by hand. MAIMU is the tool you hand them instead — safe enough that you don’t have to brief anyone first.

policyThe safety contract is your policy, in code

Deletions default to the Trash; files over 250 MB can only be trashed; nothing outside the user’s home folder is ever touched; only items MAIMU itself surfaced can be deleted — free-form deletion does not exist in the app.

auditA local deletion log you can actually read

Every deletion is written to a local log — what, when, how much came back. The user attaches it to the ticket, you see exactly what happened. No guessing.

zeroNo agents, no cloud, no accounts

Nothing to deploy server-side, nothing phoning home, no user accounts to manage. One notarized binary, verified by Gatekeeper, licensed offline.

honestWhat MAIMU is not (yet)

There is no fleet dashboard and no MDM integration — MAIMU is a single-user tool you recommend, not a system you roll out. If your fleet needs central reporting, that is not us today.

A real scan, with some folder names masked. Yours will look familiar.

Safe enough to actually let near your files

Read the whole safety contract before recommending it — it is short, enforced in code, and written to be quoted in an IT policy. Payment is a one-time license per user; the free tier (scan, map, explore) needs nothing at all.
